The Barrie + CO was founded in 2015 by Elizabeth Barrie, drawing on over 30 years of experience in the built environment. Within a year, Shawn Lantz joined as a partner, helping to shape and expand the vision that defines who we are today.
Together, Elizabeth and Shawn have built the Barrie + CO on a shared commitment to redefine project management—where precision, innovation, and purpose drive every project. Launched the Local Food for Local Heroes initiative, providing over 1,300 meals to frontline healthcare workers and first responders, while continuing to deliver complex healthcare and senior living projects through the pandemic.

COMPANY FOUNDING
The Barrie + CO began its journey as a San Diego-based construction management and owner's-representation firm dedicated to building strong client relationships and delivering complex projects with precision.
